Empowering Baltimore’s Community through Gardening & Family Engagement

Baltimore, MD – March 17, 2025 – Dad's United and Future Think Hub are thrilled to announce the upcoming Let’s Grow & Gather: A Community Garden Build Day, a fun-filled, hands-on event dedicated to building a sustainable community garden at La Chow Kitchen in the heart of Baltimore's Little Italy. This event is set to take place on March 30th, 2025, from 11 AM to 5 PM, with the goal of bringing the community together to plant and learn about sustainable gardening practices.

The garden will provide fresh herbs and produce for local chefs, food trucks, and pop-up kitchens, fostering Baltimore’s commitment to local sourcing and sustainability. “This garden represents more than just a green space,” says Brandon Phillips, founder of Dad's United. “With many DEI programs ending, this is our chance to step up, support women and minority-owned businesses, and give back to the community. We want to empower families, fathers, and children to come together, learn, and help grow something that will nourish Baltimore for years to come.”
